Jolly Chen, M.S.
Jolly Chen currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Cloudera, the commercial Hadoop company. Jolly is a database expert, having been one of the original contributing authors to PostgreSQL, one of the world’s most advanced and widely deployed open source database. He is a technologist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of broad enterprise software experience, including previous positions at WebLogic (later acquired by BEA/Oracle), Gauntlet Systems (sold to Borland Software), and Hewlett-Packard. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from MIT and advanced to candidacy for his Ph.D in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
