Michael E. Driscoll has a decade of experience developing large-scale databases and data mining algorithms within industry, government, and academic institutions. He founded and until 2008 served on the board of CustomInk.com, an Inc. 500 online retailer. Michael has a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Boston University and an A.B. from Harvard College
Bartev J. Vartanian, Ph.D.
Principal
Bartev J. Vartanian has spent the past fifteen years applying his analytical skills to the option markets where along with trading, he helped develop tools for pricing and risk management. He served as Managing Director and Lead Market Maker at Group One Trading, LP before leaving to work at Cutler Group, LP. Prior to that, Dr. Vartanian studied and modeled optical transitions in semiconductor quantum wells. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, graduated with an A.B. in Physics summa cum laude from Albion College, and earned an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University.
Suman Ganguli, Ph.D.
Suman Ganguli is an expert in the combined application of mathematics and computer science to a diverse set of predictive modeling problems. Suman has a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Cornell, an M.S. in Computer Science from Cornell, a Master’s in Financial Engineering from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
Antonio Piccolboni, Ph.D.
Antonio Piccolboni is a data scientist with significant experience in big data analytics. He was in charge of analytics and relevance at a global top 20 website and developed algorithms for a leading web ratings company. His academic contributions include papers in computational learning theory and theory of computing and bioinformatics, with more than 800 citations. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milan, Italy.
Susanne Lehman, M.S.
Susanne Lehmann is a database specialist with more than 10 years of experience in the full life cycle of database management and data analysis. Prior to working at Dataspora she worked at IBM Global Services for global players such as Sanofi Aventis where she consulted in the R&D department as an expert on troubleshoot performance issues, root cause analysis, ETLs etc. More recently she worked in various projects designing large distributed systems (Hadoop/Hive), Greenplum and NoSQL databases. She studied at King’s College London, England, as well as at the Universities of Bonn and Goettingen, Germany. Susanne holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Computing from the University of Goettingen, Germany.
